The new parking lot will be part of the European Union’s network of safe truck parking areas. Improved safety of drivers, goods, and means of transport will benefit the drivers, transport companies, freight forwarders and logisticians, as well as society as a whole. In addition, such facilities have a positive impact on road safety, as drivers are well rested and destressed.

The European standard for secure truck parking lots has four security levels: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Estonia’s first secure parking lot meets the European Union’s bronze-level security requirements. This means that only trucks and authorised vehicles have access to the parking lot, which is lit and guarded.
