meters of red paper belt

3rd place in the competition.
The supporting element of the competition work “Paper street” is a folded paper belt that runs along a landscaped promenade through four event spaces. Paper carries and preserves information and knowledge, connects yesterday with today and today with tomorrow. Paper has been the main tool for storing knowledge, which is still at least partly irreplaceable even in the current digital age.
The folded paper belt creates an attractive connection between the two science campuses, turning them into a unified whole as an environment. Once the paper belt runs in the pavement, then it transforms into some small forms, and then again shows the way in the pavement. The red tone of the paper belt is warm and inviting. It takes attention away from the surrounding eclectic buildings and structures, becoming the main star of the street.
