Completed in October 2022, the square in front of Terminal D will be an additional recreation area for the city dwellers, replacing the current, unspectacular, car park, while offering ferry passengers a convenient connection to the city centre.
Over 100 trees and 3,500 bushes were planted and a wide variety of benches were installed to create a cosy atmosphere in the 4,500 m2 area. Large green spaces with a variety of landscaping, an outdoor stage, and two exciting water features were built. A nautical-themed leisure area with trampolines, sound tubes, and seating was created near the Admiral Bridge.
The architectural part was designed by AB Pluss, the landscape architecture part by AS K-Projekt.
