38 000+
perennials, flower bulbs, shrubs and trees in the streetscape

Completed in autumn 2025, the reconstruction transformed approximately 1.1 km of Lastekodu Street and 300 m of Masina Street into a modern, green and people-centred urban street. Connecting Tallinn Bus Station with the city centre, the route is one of the first urban spaces experienced by many people arriving in the capital.

Between Liivalaia and Odra streets, a landscaped promenade with seating areas was created, continuous cycle paths were provided along the street, and the movement spaces for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles were made clearer and easier to navigate.

Landscaping became an integral part of the streetscape. In addition to preserving existing trees, the project introduced a species-rich planting scheme with tens of thousands of new plants. Attention to user comfort extended to the smallest details — for example, chamfer-free paving stones were selected for the promenade to reduce noise from wheeled luggage.
