The reconstruction of Raba Street transformed the section between Ehitajate Road and Rääma Street into a modern and safer urban street, creating a connection between the new Pärnu bridge and Ehitajate Road. The new traffic layout improved both the flow of motor traffic and conditions for pedestrians and cyclists. 4-metre-wide pedestrian and cycle paths were built on both sides of the street, along with new crossing points, bus stops and a new pedestrian and cyclist tunnel near the Ehitajate Road junction.
The entire streetscape was upgraded with new street lighting, underground utility networks, stormwater solutions and landscaping. The Oja–Raba intersection was converted into a signal-controlled junction, while the speed limit along the entire section was reduced to 40 km/h.
Completed in summer 2025, the renewed Raba Street has become an important new route for entering Pärnu and travelling towards the city centre.
